Cosmologists believe that 10-34 seconds after the big bang (a decimal point followed by 33 zeros and a one) the universe was driven to expand hugely.

    I like to think that we are part of an infinite system. That would not need any creation event. However if hyperinflation is real then why would it end? As the universe is expanding maybe it did not quit and as a result we are deep inside a virtual black hole!

    It'll be interesting to hear about the measurements, but I still have huge questions about the theory. I'm not sure that confirming Einstein's gravity waves says anything about Big Bang inflation.
