Mozilla can't change course now. They just have to hope this blows over.

It would be obvious they caved and the left would pummel them. They certainly could change their minds but it would show weakness as well. Every decision after would be open to this kind of response. They screwed up.

and here I thought the showing weakness part had already happened. IT would be a strong move to apologize to the creator of your company and stand beside him. no integrity...I did look up the laws on political contributions. Any personal donations above $200 are public record. The intent originally was so you understood what the candidate was going to support more than who was supporting the candidate. In the case of Prop 8, the donors to the campaign tried to get an injunction to not make their donations public and the state supreme court over-ruled them. Prop 8 received 52% of the vote. IT was overturned by the state Supreme Court as unconstitutional. Ultimately, moochers are going to force highly productive individuals like Eich who have done more for increasing the levels of technology to benefit ALL of us, retarding those advancements. for the benefit of a few. Completely short-sighted and downright stupid-not to mention malicious

I was trying to think like the tards at Mozilla. They would see a reversal now as a sign of weakness. My guess is they see themselves standing up against the homophobes no matter the cost. They have a PR nightmare on their hands. They need to think out their next move very carefully.

              Yes, they do.
One of things I tweeted to them was to look on the bright side - at least Mozilla isn't publicly traded.

It's interesting that culture climate where they are located cannot "see" the culture climate of where the majority of their customers are. Very short-sighted. and leaves one to speculate on business models etc. Frankly doesn't say too much for Eich either. Why did he surround himself with who he did in the first place-after all, they not only strategically made a decision for him to step down-they publicly shamed him and he took it-publicly. There is no evidence he has changed his mind on the issue in question. Frankly, I'm perplexed. Since I have argued on these threads that the influence of these bully groups is chilling-I have ignored the influence of his religion and church. Why do I automatically assume his church had no negative influence on his decision to donate in the first place? His actions and silence on this are somewhat perplexing, although I can understand as a major shareholder, he is walking the tightrope. stepping away from his personal quandaries, we all lose. While he has to put out these fires, he is not focused on the very projects which help Mozilla thrive and increase technology for us all.

I think they are going to collapse because of it. People all over are switching from Firefox left and right. No advertising, no company.
