New guy here, my name's Daniel. I'm a left-leaning Libertarian and an admirer of ATLAS SHRUGGED and THE FOUNTAINHEAD. I'm looking forward to exploring this forum.

Welcome! I haven't read The Fountainhead yet but I plan on it. How was it compared to Atlas Shrugged?

JohnnyG & Vicensi - I love both novels, albeit for somewhat different reasons - I find THE FOUNTAINHEAD very engaging as fiction, both the novel and the Gary Cooper film version (the only movie made from AR's work in which she had creative input, IIRC). ATLAS SHRUGGED is much denser, and moves at a very different clip as a tale, but ultimately it emerges as the definitive statement of her values.

So I love them both, for VERY different reasons, if that makes sense.
