    "unfortunately this is true. The income test is
    based on your tax return from 2 years ago.
    If your income is above a certain limit (it was
    $85k for individuals and $170k for a couple
    last year), then Medicare assesses you a
    higher Premium for Part B and you also pay
    more for Part D."

      Escaped that one ....whew!!! The $100 a month they deduct but not from the income tax liability is still worthless at this point. It's automatic though. Without check yes on Par B and D the main retirement check stops. Catch 22. The best part is I don't have to worry about getting transferred to a VA facility. I make too much being retired to qualify. 24 years or no 24 years. I feel like I dodged a major bullet.
