Thank you for the comments in a recent article which inspired this one.

As usual, the content here in the Gulch is robust and the discussions are vigorous. It was nice to hear from some teachers about the state of current public education.

    My son is a junior in high school and he gets his dose of nonsense, especially in my area of interest, American History. I wrote The Golden Pinnacle, a novel set in the Industrial Revolution. Fortunately, I have it, Ayn Rand, and Pendulum of Justice for him to read to counteract the nonsense. If you want a perfect historical litmus test of people's political views, see if they call the Industrial Revolution the Industrial Revolution or the Gilded Age.

      Good for you. Your son will love you for it later. I did something similar, primarily because I wanted my kids to read them. Nobody else is writing those kinds of things, so we have to do it ourselves.
