This is an excellent movie with a strong romantic theme. I would remake this movie, instead of putting out another bad James Bond movie. I suspect that this movie was not a hit (financial success) and if so it is because the writers emphasize the simpering British Aristocracy angle with an Oedipus complex throw in for good measure. You could eliminate almost all of this by merely removing Flemming’s mother from the story and making Flemming a self-made man and doing the action Hollywood style.
