i love him. i have seen him in quite a few TV shows and he is terrific - and so handsome. he is laid back, but i don't think Galt is that up front either - he's quietly brilliant and likes to be behind the scenes, quietly making things happen. engineers are never out there or extroverted so he will be great

It's great to finally know what John Galt is going to look like.

A lot of this sort of speculation goes on every time a major movie picks a major character. Michael Keaton Batman? Toby McGuire Spiderman? The list of apparent miscasting goes on and on. It all depends on the skill of the actor. We will have to wait and see. ;

He's different from how I'd pictured Galt too - for me it was always early-'80s Peart ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOqB4rmml... ) - but Polaha is a plausible match to the Paul Johansson rendition from beneath the hat in Atlas 1. I think he'll do fine, but the fact that the entire cast is new - not to mention the blacklisting of the entire project by the monolith media - does not bode well for its success.

On the other hand, the very fact that it's finally been made will perhaps pave the way for a future production that's more A-list blockbuster material, as the original Lion's Gate production promised to be before the deal fell apart. That's assuming, of course, that we're not all in concentration camps in a year or two.

Anyone else notice that the premium cable channels have also blacklisted it? They're running "Passion of Ayn Rand," "Wall Street," and every other anti-objectivist flick they can get their mitts on, but Atlas 1 or 2 is nowhere to be found. Part 1 is on Netflix though.

I'm hoping that Mr. Aglialoro has some definite plans to shop this around to cable channels not hamstrung by vestigial leftwing conformity. BBC America, maybe IFC, Hallmark, Reelz, even Lifetime or WE. If this trilogy is going to be seen, it's going to take some guerrilla marketing to get past the blacklisting.

He seems more like the D'Anconia type.

very laid back interview. I truly hope he can bring his acting skills to the table. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt to the producers in choosing him for the most important role.

What's with that microphone? It looks like some kind of medical probe. Did she stop by Radioshack and get this out of the $1.29 clearance bin? As to what I learned from the interview. Not much. Other than the month the film is opening.

What a lightweight. Seriously, producers? This guy is the best person to audition for the John Galt part? Are you conceding part 3? Has the guy even read the book?
My heart breaks for the missed opportunity of this series. The most important book and message of our time, and these movies have failed to convey any of it on so many counts. And now, the insult to every Atlas fan, this guy? If he was the best, I'd have hated to see who didn't make the cut.

It would be a good idea to keep this person away from ALL press. He reminds me TOO much of GARY from Team America. He is a little too "sure" of himself and, in my opinion, kind of comes off as a pompous jackass. I am hoping this guy won't suck at this role.
