I wonder if there's some way to do a class action law suit of everyone with kids and grandkids against everyone. We burn $1000 worth natural gas each winter but don't pay for the costs of the resulting climate change that will be born mostly by future generations. The courts don't seem like the way to deal with this.
You can only sue the government if the government allows it.
Their suit is frivolous by definition, since there are no delineated rights in the Constitution that apply to "global climate change". Additionally minors cannot directly sue for anything other than emancipation. A guardian, or someone legally able to act for them would have to file suit. Hence the non-profit in the article doing the filing.
After all they gave up on global warming when it became know temps have not risen. The only reason their law suit will be able to advance through the courts is with the blessing of the administration.
If they make a useful trojan horse, the suit will proceed. If not it will disappear like honesty in politics.
