Get Ready To See Michelle Obama's Face Plastered All Over Your Local Subway Sandwich Shop - Fast Food, Government Approved!
I feel really sorry for the franchise owners as they probably don't have a say what corporate HQ is forcing on them.
Social media is deluged with people pledging boycott.
As for me, I really like Subway, but I can't give my money to the Ruling Class Aristocracy of Pull Approved Fast Food.
I wonder if the franchisees can file a class action lawsuit against Corporate HQ.

That said, I believe that it is going to backfire and be embarrassing if the media actually reports on it. Sales are likely to decline and Subway franchisees are going to suffer. Pity.
Just boycotting, although it eventually gets the message through, is too indirect. Tell them. They deserve to know.
Watchers!!
Our Executive branch has lost all class and dignity.
As a JFK Democrat, I shall do so and make clear why.
Our Federal government has escaped the fence of Constitutional limits.
Time to reign them in.
Most franchise agreements allow franchisee's to opt out of some marketing programs under certain conditions. The specific caveats of aSubway agreement are unknown to me. Perhaps someone knows a franchisee well and could ask about this matter and post the information.

What about the diners, who wants to stare at that face while you are tying to eat. It would give one indigestion. She looks like a football player about to be tackled.
As to her school lunch fiasco, the kids were left so hungry, they could not learn. The schools had to scrap it and feed them enough to keep them going.
"First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt addressed the American people as a commercial broadcaster during her years as First Lady. This was a first on several levels. Firstly, the American people had not had this level of access to the First Lady before. This elevated her celebrity status. Although this also brought concerns regarding a potential conflict of interest by getting paid for this activity while performing her functions as First Lady, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt's philanthropy defused most of those claims.
"Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt viewed her role as First Lady as an educator to the people and public relations officer to her husband's administration. As a result of this, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt changed American's idea of what the role of a First Lady is."

I see the danger of it appearing she's supporting one company that provides most its value in being a restaurant instead of promoting the healthful foods in general. If it doesn't slide down a slippery slope of the First Lady picking restaurants and stores to endorse, I'm okay with it.
I agree completely about favoring one business over another. She should do promotions that don't mention any particular business. Subway sells pizza. McDonald's sells salads. Personal choice is more important.
My biggest worry is within two years we'll hear serious debate, "We're paying for your heart disease treatments. Should be allowed to be sedentary. If you expect us to pay for it, we expect to see a record of physical activity on your smartphone's or smartwatch's accelerometer. " That's very bad.
