That's funny. What's stands out the most, though, is how the 10-year-old technologies mentioned sound so dated today- he connects his laptop to a flip phone and GPS to access the Internet. He receives an e-mail on his Palm Pilot. At least it didn't mention the "information superhighway" :) It's amazing how fast the world changes.
If you think about it, that is very advanced 'Tech' for one of todays government officials. We have officials using "offsite" servers because the "official" servers are not compatible with Windows 7 because of their age. The tax service is still running Windows XP which seems to be preventing them from utilizing their $1B technology upgrade budget they get every year for technology upgrades. I read a piece the other day that they are still using PDP systems. That would fit in perfectly with the "Palm Pilot".
