Political Correctness

There's an annual contest at Griffiths University, in Australia,
calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.
This year the term was: 'political correctness'.
The winning student wrote:

'Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional,
illogical minority and rapidly promoted by main stream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.'

I can’t wait for the winning one for next year’s contemporary term: “Low Information Voters”

Also attributed to Bond University, Australia, Texas A&M University, and Ronald Reagan.
    Actual source is unknown.

Griffith is located in the Sunshine State of Queensland, and just a few km from where I sit at this moment.

Yes, the toilet water swirls the opposite direction.

I was ther in 1968 just after the Opera house was finished. Wonderful people and place. I never did get used to the water swirling in the "wrong" direction! I have often thought of moving to Austrailia, but I hear it's just as expensive to live there then here in Calif.
