Complaint or Action? How things change in my county.
It's my view that to fix this nation we need to stop complaining and start getting involved.
In my county (Clark County, WA), the Republican Party was a top-down organization that awaited orders from on high before taking any action. Nobody was asked for their opinion and no dissension went unpunished.
During Ron Paul's last election run, a movement was created to get like-minded thinkers to run for Precinct Committee Officer (PCO). PCOs represent about 2000 people each, so there are about 160 of them. PCOs determine the makeup and direction of county party leadership. Following the election (I won by 3 - count 'em, 3 votes) the old Party leadership was completely replaced and we are now a bottom-up organization. The old guard are mad as hell, and keep on with the notion that principle makes no difference if you can't get elected. I think we've seen where that view has gotten us these past 45 or so years.
PCOs elect the delegates to the state convention and, in turn, to the national convention. So things have dramatically changed in my county, and we've given hope and set an example for change in party politics in other counties. It's a long haul, but it's a start. Cheers.

Yes! The world is run by those who show up. I'm glad some libertarians like you are showing up.
Are you doing anything else to get the word out to other communities?
If you haven't, you might contact some of the 2nd amendment support groups. They might be very interested in advancing your model in other communities.
