The last paragraph really sums up the article. It's really becoming a moocher's world.

    I do have hope for the generation leaving college today. They are getting stonewalled in the job market. My son's three closest friends graduated with BA/BS degrees last May, and they are getting awfully tired of working part-time making or delivering sandwiches. And one of them is a math major.

    Honestly I think the "greatest generation" gave birth to the worst, and it's done nothing but continue downhill from there.

      I would have to blame the overcompensation of parents...always wanting their kids to have more and better, and easier existences than they had... not always the right approach, I don't think. It loses too many valuable lessons that you can't learn any other way then to have to rough it sometimes. It's too hard to say 'no' when you don't HAVE to so they don't. It breeds an entitled attitude toward the world.
