We’ve armed the police like the military to take on the gangs we built with the highly profitable drug trade – made profitable by that self-same war. We’ve undermined the inner city neighborhoods, undermined foreign countries and filled our prisons beyond the wildest dreams of Stalin. We pay for the police, the court system, judges both lawyers and the prisons themselves. We’ve done all this in the name of preventing people from doing something to their own bodies that we don’t think is a good idea.
And after all this you can still get drugs in prison.
If you can’t keep drugs out of prisons, you can’t keep them away from a free people. We should stop trying.
But I think it is just an excuse used by dictatorship to subvert the constitution and avoid provisions of Posse Comitatus Act.
I'm not surprised one bit...
