That is how I've viewed him. Surgeon general seems to be an appropriate fit for someone with his expertise. I just don't think of him as a presidential candidate at this point. I think there are others who would be a better choice.

He is forthright and courageous, Accomplished and literate, and he is a self made man who is black. Those are some of the reasons he is so attractive to many Conservatives. But, there is no doubt his lack of experience and knowledge makes for one who would be easily defeated in a hot political debate. However, I would think he'd do well in a cabinet position other than being dismissed as Surgeon General.

I can't help but think Ben Carson is just being used to syphon off money and votes from actual viable candidates. I wish people would look beyond the puppets and see the puppet masters.

His heart is in the right place, his brain is that of a great surgeon with a good heart. I don't even care about party anymore, I just want someone that is going to work towards getting back to the basics of the constitution, someone that isn't going to try to regulate lamas now. We need to also look at age, there are a lot of what I would think of as being "too young", and too little experience, too political. If only there was a way to take specific attributes from several candidates and put them together in one. Perhaps its time for a robot or a computer, but who would do the programing?

If only he was female. Then he'd be perfect for the GOP.

Sadly, I feel that the drubbing that our Constitution has taken over the past ten years or so has made our country ungovernable by anything short of a monarch or dictator, benign or otherwise. Precedent has now been set; executive actions have been taken despite actions to the contrary by the legislature, so now all bets are off. Bread and circuses for the masses! We will now decend into mob rule.

Carson is a typical conservative who is more interested in making the US a theocracy than restoring the constitution or our Natural Rights, particularly property.

As usual, the only say voters will have in the 2016 election will be the lesser of two evils. At least, Carson might slow the tide of socialism.
