First of all, let me compliment you on making the films. I had read the book many years ago in college. Little did I imagine that the events would come to pass in as short a time as my lifetime.
In any event, thanks for pointing out the pricing issue. I've got a call in to my IT guy; we did have the pricing on the site, and it apparently got erased during an upgrade. The price is actually $8 per half pound, plus shipping. We are getting ready to introduce some more products over the next couple of weeks, so we'll get the correction made immediately and we'll need to make sure it doesn't happen again!
All the best,
Bill
(You know...Boomer and SaltyDog's human!)
That pricing is pretty incredible. We have a local company in Richmond, VA that is making a similar product, and I can tell you they are significantly more expensive.
I do have a question. I have a dog that was having some digestive issues, and we tried Gluten Free dog food to see if it would help. However, almost immediately after switching, she started scratching like craze. Switched away from it and scratching stopped. Is it possible for a dog to be allergic to gluten free (if that is a stupid question, I apologize). Admittedly, the gluten free food we switched her to was a big box brand cheapo. Could have been something else in it. Just wondering if you have ever heard anything like this.
I am going to look into the peanut butter treats for my pups, but if you have a GSD, you might consider the protein source (the genetic disorder my dogs has is not uncommon in German Shepherds).

I've come across it with dogs that have an allergy to chicken, and most treats have either chicken or chicken stock as an ingredient. We have a customer who bought only our Honey Bacon Paw Prints, as that was the only one without chicken. We made a batch for her of our Peanut Butter Paw Prints, substituting milk for the chicken and that seemed to do the trick, so we now stock varieties with and without the chicken.
If you'd like to try some, sign up for Boomer's Blotter on our website and that'll prompt you to send your name and address and we'll send you a sample to see if it works.
I read about your fava flour. Humans can get a rare hemolytic anemia from eating favas, but I do not think any dog breeds evidence this. If you did not know about favism, though, I thought I would mention it in case you are concerned about human kids eating the dog treats.

In the mean time, if you'd like I'll send you a small sample bag to see how your furry friend reacts. Just drop me a line with your address and I'll get them off to you.
If I might ask, how much is that local company charging? I saw an ad at a local Wal-Mart, and they have a similar product that is double our per ounce price, so I think we're pretty competitive.
All the best!

Short of any massive increase in the price of ingredients, we intend to hold the line on our price. In point of fact, we're looking for some way to decrease our shipping and handling costs. So if anyone has any ideas...
