According to Gallup Obamas job approval is at 50%. I find this hard to believe. Is it a function of people not paying attention? The media? Poor polling?

I hate to admit it but I believe it is h). are accurate.

I think that 10% are educated lifelong Democrats and 40% are dumb as a rock and are told to vote Democrat because that's what all their neighbor's do and 90% of the 40% couldn't even tell you who the VP is!!!!!!!!!

I know. What if we take the same poll here in the Gulch and publish the results as mainstream? The flip side of what is being done to the public. I guess we would be guilty of the same thing, but fun to contemplate.

Thinking it through, that is an interesting question. I had just simply thought that he would have an approval rating around 0.05%, and maybe he would, but would there be surprises in the makeup of our 20,000 strong gang of like minded individuals?

I get .00005 percent approve and 99.00005 disapprove. We have 1 member who I know supports Obama.

You did the better math. But it could get surprising. I am in the big scale gold mining industry which is pretty damn conservative in general. Always, always being attacked as evil, insidious despoilers of the environment - digging up all that gold with big equipment just to put it back in the ground in vaults. And then I found geologist colleagues in the same office that actually voted for that piece of work. What the?

Yes, I find it hard to believe!!! These polls show why they and their kind are so dangerous. They say whatever they want, true or otherwise. The ignorant believe what they hear. The more they hear, true or otherwise, the more they believe. It's like the recent Obama claims that the economy is doing great now. In the last months I've seen some pretty big businesses vacate their locations. Is this the sign of an improving economy? It's like Axelrod's latest declaration that he is "proud" that the last 6 years of the Obama regime has not resulted in any scandals. "Are you sh__ing me?" There is not enough room here to list them.

I’ve never believed, until now, that so much of the same advertising, day after day, hour after hour, every 10 or 15 minutes, like "Hi, I'm William Devane, buy my gold", "The gecko ads", and "the “Wounded Warriors", (I’m not sure about this one yet, I’ve never seen who gets what) could possibly work to sell anything, but apparently the massive repetition works or they wouldn't be doing it. Political lies, ignoring the truth, keeping people ignorant, over and over and over again, all seems to be working. The results of these polls tell me this country could be destroyed unless we get off our (couches) and do something about it.

Is there anyone willing to actually publically challenge this administration? Are there other measures that need to be taken? Or is it going to take a small nuke to get people to wake up? If these terrorists want to kill Jews and Christians, will they want to kill the ones here in the US too, or will they limit their aggression to the Middle East? Yah, sure, you betcha.

It's like combat, the first casualties you see make you literally sick to your stomach. After experiencing a few more casualties it gets a little bit easier, you don’t actually throw up anymore. And much sooner than should be, it becomes routine, and you stop paying attention to it, or you just accept it as a normal way of life and cope with it. Our polls show this, as we are seeing more and more people coming around to the concept of no troops on the ground and other things that just don't work. The further behind we get in this war, the more people are going to accept it (as already seen in the polls), and the harder it is going to be to fight it in the future. The enemy is growing, how big will it get before we actually do something about it? Is it possible to convert all Muslims (and some others) to extremists before we take action? It is a sad world today and we're not helping make it much better..

I have no doubt he is smart just that he is a lazy incoimpetent dumb ass from a common sense perspective. never ran anything, never had responsibility of other peoples lives. he won't learn because he takes no chances. like that teddy roosevelt quote, "better to try bold things and fail than be a meatball!" my translation

approve of what? it is all in how the question is formatted not what it says. as Blacks make up about 25% of the population, and he being the first black president, most will support as I would, add in those that are on the lower end of the economic scale, why be suprised. for most, they don't think the goveernment let alone the president has much impact on thier lives and don't care. they vote on looks and feeling like he is one of them. I'm still waiting for an italian president, my grandfather would be proud! imagine the wine at the white house dinners!! lol

Electing Obama as president sure WAS historic !! What we got is a very inexperienced but arrogant and petulant black person. Way underqualified in my opinion.
