Unnecessary law in all those places. Whether an individual wants counseling is not the business of the state. The SCOTUS needs to be cut back to negligible powers; it has usurped the right to challenge unconstitutional law from the sovereign individuals and states. It does so only to preserve the power of the central government, preventing competition in various locations and preserving stability when instability is needed for growth and progress. Central government power is also negligible in most areas of life according to the constitutiuon and was also usurped from sovereign individuals and states.

"Unnecessary law in all those places."

Thanks to the 9th Circus Court, it has become extremely necessary to get House Bill 1598 passed in Oklahoma, and the other remaining 47 sane states.

From the article: "The proposal states: “The people of this state have the right to seek and obtain counseling or conversion therapy from a mental health provider in order to control or end any unwanted sexual attraction, and no state agency shall infringe upon that right. Parents may obtain such counseling or therapy for their children under eighteen (18) years of age without interference by the state.”
