This month's project for Shruggers and Strikers is to register your pets and ancestors at HealthCare.gov

You will need fresh email addresses, but that only takes a few moments at GMail or Yahoo. Write them down, so you can go back and make changes when you have nothing else to do. Change the birthdate, change the address, change the secret questions, sign up for coverage, change your plan. Give the website a good workout and find out what kind of subsidies your pets and ancestors are entitled to.

Comment with your accomplishments and advice.

As far as I'm concerned, it's just like setting up an account at Amazon or Travelocity. Frankly, I want to see what kind of junk email I start receiving.
Signed up George Washington and Abraham Lincoln a few minutes ago.
I decided not to sign up members of congress with their real email addresses, as this might actually be considered identity theft.

The real thing that supports the program is when healthy people purchase health insurance. In the past, companies could underwrite and give you a lower price.

The real way to undermine the program is to form your own insurance network for healthy people at your church or other organization opposed to PPACA. Instruct sick members to sign up for insurance. Instruct healthy members to pay the penalty and get on the organization's program. The organization takes small premiums from the healthy people and agrees to pay for medical expenses if someone should get very sick, until they get to open enrollment and can get on a PPACA-compliant plan.

If everyone did that, they could mess up PPACA. If successful, the system could collapse, making it harder for many sick people to get healthcare, but it would be a political win.
