  If they try to collect, I'll ask them for their privacy policy and tell them that it is illegal to use personal information for anything other than its intended purpose and that it looks like that is exactly what it will get used for, so no thank you.

As a father I can say that the system wants our kids. They have to get to them, get full access and full control. This is bad juju. Very bad.

As I read that article it reminds me of a story I was told by a lady I've worked with who grew up commie Vietnam. The government would collect similar info to essentially ration upper education.
