Hatch Message On The Third Anniversary of Obamacare - YouTube
Thought some of you may be interested in this.
I am not a big fan of Orin Hatch, and worked hard to try to get Dan Liljenquist into the republican seat in the primaries. We failed and were stuck with this guy. At least he gets it somewhat on Obamacare.
The following was in the email I got from his office with a link to the video.

In recent days I have taken steps to again take down parts of this ill-conceived law. Yesterday I am pleased to announce that the Senate passed an amendment I offered to repeal Obamacare’s medical device tax. The importance of this bipartisan amendment, I sponsored with Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) cannot be overstated. For the first time, Democrats and Republicans came together in recognizing how bad this tax is. The amendment would repeal the $30 billion tax on medical device companies contained in Obamacare to promote innovation, preserve high-paying jobs, and encourage economic growth for manufacturers of lifesaving medical devices and cutting edge medical therapies.
In addition, I have introduced two bills with Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) the Ranking Member on the Senate Health Education Labor and Pensions Committee. The first would repeal the individual insurance mandate – the requirement that everyone
purchase insurance. This is a tremendous overreach of federal power – the government should not be dictating what people can and cannot purchase.
The second would repeal the job-killing employer mandate. That provision would hit
employers with $150 billion in new taxes, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), and lead to an estimated 3.2 million lost jobs, according to the Hudson Institute.
I also recently joined with Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) to repeal the health insurance tax, which will do nothing more than increase health costs for businesses and families, which, by the National Federation of Independent Business’s (NFIB) estimate, could cost more than 200,000 jobs.
And finally, I also voted last week for an amendment introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) to a six-month government funding bill that would delay the implementation of President Obama’s costly health spending law until the nation’s economy recovers. And I became a co-sponsor of Cruz’s bill to fully repeal Obamacare.
