Here is a little story about pirates that Ayn Rand seemed to understand full and well. Down with Robin Hood and give honor to the pirate Henry Morgan, the greatest pirate of them all.

Another great article overmanwarrior. Found the flag on amazon, but not sure if overman has a stock of them. Could be fun, we all get one and fly them high take pics and post them :)

Speaking of Ragnar, I watch AS II again a few days ago, and that scene where Hank is in the alley and the police car rides by as he is talking to Dagny on the phone, I thought for sure Ragnar was going to show up with a bar of gold :)

  Me too. I bet they'll save it for Part III. They already established that Hank walks home alone in that fashion. In the next film there isn't much for Hank to do, and they have to introduce Ragnar, so it will probably be in Part III

      We are all friends to the friendless. In a lot of ways that's why we love the film when so many are appalled by it. They love Robin Hood, and we are sickened by the idea.

    Look up the Malabar X, a schooner designed by John Alden. I used to work on her in the mid to late 1980's. she was damaged, repaired and now is in Spain. She was a real pirate ship! We had a skull and crossbones which we flew on occasion.. Ahhhh

        Catamarans are not very stable, as the pontoon on the windward side will come up out of the water if you're moving along at a nice clip. Also, said pontoons are very narrow, and it's into those pontoons you must stow yourself and your gear. A schooner is a monohulled vessel, meaning a single hull. The beam is broader, (the width across), much more stable in strong winds, and generally fast.

        I didn't have many problems with stability, but am not opposed to monohull at all. down here there are lots of trimarans. I think, since there's alot of wind and so rough sea, people find they are more stable while moored. but I have only done it for 10 day stretches at a time, but I want to consider it, even with all the work

        I remember once having the op to work crew on a catamaran as a teenager... I thought before that they were so superstable, but that boat was a *lot* of work, andwhen they come up high on one, you get this religious feeling... ... looked cool, but I found out a traditional sailboat was a lot more usable, and **way** easier to sail.

      We are going to have a special day to fly the "root of freedom flag" and drink Capt Morgan, yuck, but I'll do it :) I have the white Culpeper Minuteman flag, but have been flying a "We Support Our Troops flag under the US flag, cause the DE one, I just won't fly....

        You know, that is one of the nicest things anybody has said to me or around me in several years. Nice because you truely understand. I have a core group of people locally who do understand and everything is just implied. But nothing would make me happier than to see that flag expand and fly from other people's boats, homes, condos and other closet Gulch types.
        
        If Ragnor were real, I believe he would fly that flag, not the typical Tea Party flags of the Revolution period. He might add a "Dollar" sign to it in addition, maybe in the corners. But those are the kinds of emotions it evokes. Friends of the friendless..........that is what we all are even though nobody has the guts to honor it.
