Thanksgiving [Valentines' Day?] wine
Bounty Hunter Rare Wines sells a wine called "John Galt". They're one of our advertisers.
Sorry to be so late with this, but maybe for Christmas dinner? Solstice Supper? New Year's revels?
It is a Cabernet, and I'm a GREAT BIG RED WINE drinker by choice, so it's a little lighter than my favorites, but it's still quite good.
and yes, it is called John Galt after the Rand character.
Enjoy!

I just had some Luois Jadot , BEAUNE,
Clos Des Couchereaux, 2009. Young yet. Still tight.
I can make my own JG labels ;^)
Then, I'll refer you to my husband the Wizard, who actually knows those things. I usually drink what he gives me and go "ooooooh".
I just got a call from the man, and asked him the question [to be elaborated on later] and he suggested, IF you can find it, a Shiraz from Molly Ducker called The Boxer. It runs about $25 and big wine stores carry it, when it's available.
Let me know what you find. I'll probably be drinking a Jo'burg Riesling for Thanksgiving with turkey.
Been saving a magnum of late 80's Groth cab for a special occasion. Groundbreaking of Atlantis, for example. The celebration scene in Wyatt's home from AS1 comes to mind. Cigars and champagne are wasted on me, but I do appreciate Islay single malt or aged Barleywine Ale.
I will be making Bouillabaisse and rouille instead of traditional turkey and dressing.
