The villified patriots

It seems to me that we are going out of our way to discredit those that are telling us the truth. Snowden and Gruber are just two examples of people that had an inside view and have said that the criminals that have overtaken the government of the United States are cynically lying to us every day. They are spying on us, stealing from us and conspiring to destroy the republic. They believe they can get away with it because they view most of us as stupid sheep that will believe anything they tell us and that they can distract enough of the rest of us with manufactured crises to keep opposition from gaining a foothold.

Marginalizing those that dare to disagree with the insane rush over the financial cliff with fiat money and the fast talking, magicians at the Federal Reserve is going to end with a dystopian society right out of Mel Gibson's Mad Max series and it seems the only thing we can do is horde some guns, bullets and freeze-dried provisions.

But what accounts for those who, believing they are the "good guys" and enact laws, for example, that do not work? They continue to perpetrate these actions in light of their failure, yet refuse to accept that they do not work. It is more than just believing you are right - it is a slavish devotion to illogic and failed ideology.

I think people get in power and think they mean well so the law shouldn't apply to them. This is very dangerous. I agree it's a threat to the republic, but I'm almost sure those doing it think they're the good guys.

We need more respect for the values the US was founded on.

I don't know what they think they think but there is a fatal flaw in the human animal that creates a lust for control over others. Some do not see anything as wrong if it puts them in charge of others. Saying that they want to save them from sin, illness, injury, false Gods or the evil of others is the façade that they hide behind. Most every thing we are taught is propaganda concocted to keep power in the hands of the older, weaker but slyer among us and to keep it away from the younger, stronger and foolish. They don't care if they are good guys or not but they would like us to think they are.

I agree except I would not equate Snowden with Gruber. Gruber is an arrogant liar who thinks he can get away with it. It is the establishment throwing him under the bus
