Type in Obama, and see that neither of them, Mr. or Mrs. has a licence anymore. That in fact the voluntarily relinquished their licences.
Then wonder what happend that they both, two "lawyers", gave up the one thing all lawyers work so hard to achieve. According to them both, education is paramount to the success of any "individual" in their society. So why then throw away the one trophy that their type of education culminates to? Especially one as expensive as a Degree from Harvard. Seems like a waste when you are signing those student loan payment checks don't you think?
I will let you search for the reasons to why they wasted so much time earning degrees from one of the most prestiges law schools in the United States. I will tell you however, that the answer comes to no surprise.

That is a link to the legal definition of license:
"The permission granted by competent authority to exercise a certain privilege that, without such authorization, would constitute an illegal act, a Trespass or a tort."
Since when did practicing law become illegal, a trespass or a tort? By acquiescing to a licensing scheme attorneys swear a fealty to the state in which they are licensed. Can you not see the gross conflict of interest that brings for a defendant charged with a crime by the state?
Credentialism has greatly led to the entropic state of this nation.
Though I agree to the idea of Credentialism I do feel that their is and should be a correlation between a man's carrer and his credentials. As a graphic designer I need no "real" credentials. The proof of credibility is in the pudding if you will. Say I was a doctor I feel that I would take great pride in my credentials. It is odd that diplomas, degrees and licenses have become deal breakers in terms of employment, but if feel that is an issue of complacency. We don't care to check if someone is capable, we assume they are by their credentials, so we ask for more. I guess there in lies the rub.
What do you think?
Are current curriculum mandates concerned with the critical thinking skills of the students they are tasked with educating? Consider this:
http://www.criticalthinking.org/pages/th...
"Most college faculty at all levels lack a substantive concept of critical thinking.
Most college faculty don’t realize that they lack a substantive concept of critical thinking, believe that they sufficiently understand it, and assume they are already teaching students it.
Lecture, rote memorization, and (largely ineffective) short-term study habits are still the norm in college instruction and learning today"
How does this fare for the students who will graduate with a diploma that gives an appearance of being credentialed?
