I'm watching this closely, as it's not far from the homestead... it's (literally) in the middle of nowhere, so why this is happening - and so far they've been up to a 4.7 as of this morning - is perplexing. (Side note - a couple have been on the California side of the border as well... Maybe the start of a new volcano - or at least an uprising??)
Maybe it's a release of pressure from the oppression of the now displaced and perpetually disgraced "gentleman from Nevada"...
We have 9 distinct layers of ash, rock, and sand they went thru when they drilled our well... almost no dirt. Kinda says a lot for our local version of "global warming"... Yiiii!!! :-)
Where Lassen there used to be one called Mt. Tehama that blew some 24K years ago... it dwarfed SHASTA... the remnants are called the Jumbles, driving home at night I can see where the original slope of that one was. =8~0 Makes Lassen looks like a bad pimple...
Speaking of, gotta fly, have a great evening!!!
