My Mother the Car, or Why Obamacare ISN'T Better

I keep hearing these... people... on the left defend Obamacare with idiotic arguments that you'll get *better* insurance, and/or *cheaper* insurance under Obamacare, as people are forced to give up coverage with which they're satisfied, and/or forced to give up doctors to whom they've gone for years.
I drive a beat-up 1998 Mercury Villager Minivan. It's got some kind of problem with the carburation, the rear brakes are going to need replaced, the belts squeal in wet weather, and it has somewhere around 130k miles on it.
But it was my late mother's car.
If Obama came along and took it away, and told me I could get a 2014 Lexus, he'd end up with a 2014 Lexus sticking out of his rear.
These people do not get the concept of value, and it's becoming increasingly clear that they don't get the concept of individual liberty. One idiot said, "I'll be proud to live in a country where everybody can afford to get healthcare."
Note that he didn't say "quality healthcare".
But, at what price? He's marking a checklist of people with health insurance at the expense of other people. And when confronted with the millions of individuals whose rights and liberty have been stripped away, their excuse is that it's only a small percentage of the population. Again with the Spock-think that the (alleged) needs of the many outweigh the *rights* of the few.
This is why we're a Republic and not a Democracy: if even ONE individual's rights were violated, if even only ONE individual had to give up a health care plan and doctors with whom he was happy, comfortable and familiar, then Obamacare *cannot*, CANNOT be justified.
Otherwise, I can use the same arguments to justify slavery. Or the confiscation of private property. Or a host of violations of individual's liberty.
