Road repair in Massachusetts has sometimes involved pouring kerosene onto freshly-laid asphalt so it'll crumble into potholes faster and need repair sooner. Also, older DPW staff explain to young hires that there is no need to work so hard. "Youse is makin' us look bad."

Any current Bay-Staters out there who can tell us whether these things are still true?

Very nicely done, OUC! I see a few things on DOGE here and there (it seems most MSMM has a blackout on the good and moves whiners front and center), but your memes keep it alive in the Gulch. The UN sucks bucks from the US through the front door, but now we can see it sucking through the back door, too. I can't recall Australians paying US taxes, so why the crying over the loss of free stuff? The last meme is so typical of government operations. Go MAGA! Go DOGE!

This has to be the first administration I'm actually getting what I voted for in such a magnitude. Reagan did a few things, but not like this on such a scale.
