      All it takes is common sense to sniff such a stench with just a pair of eyes checking out a gas price signs above convenience food stores.
      Today me dino was repeatedly seeing $2.69 hither and tither until I reached the place I wanted to do business with.
      It's still called Steve's Grocery by the way, though Steve got killed by a tornado that wrecked his convenience food store/gasoline station a few years ago.

    I noticed that myself, this week. I wonder which fuel companies are most in-league with the Dems - so I will know which brands to avoid. Vote with your wallet. I already know one: Citgo is owned by communist Hugo Chavez cronies.

      My gut tells me the price will go up no matter who wins too.
      I'll give Trump time to get a handle on the gas price.

        Agreed though I am pretty certain that no matter what Trump does it will take around a year to get prices to change direction.

        With all the dipping into the strategic reserve that Biden has done he could decide to replace it as soon as Trump wins and REALLY spike the prices.

            Based on the information from this website, https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10... We are currently approximately 400 million barrels into the reserve; additionally, we use approximately 20 million barrels a day. With the roughly 76 days that fall between the election and the transition, replacing the reserve that rapidly would cause us to need roughly 5 million extra barrels a day. If there is no way to increase what we receive that would have us something like 25% less than required for normal operations. This will mean incredible jumps in prices at the pump. I will predict minimum of doubling of gas prices, forcing incredible inflation nationwide. All of which they will blame on Trump even though reduction in US oil production, reserves and refilling the reserve will ALL be Biden's doing.

                Personally, I have believed for the last few years. That the Left has intentionally iniated and fanned the flames of the retoric in the hopes of these 2 incidents. No need to actually plan and execute an assassination which might be traced back to you. When to can inflame enough mentally unbalanced to achieve your goal and leave no fingerprints. Just keep stating how dangerous Trump is and ensure that incompetents are assigned to protect him.

    OTOH, keep in mind that the actual price of gasoline without taxes is available in some foreign countries
    and it's a dollar lower than the US "low" price that you mentioned (and more than 2 dollars lower than in Commifornia.)
    Americans get shafted on nearly everything by the Deepstate fedgov.
    If there was a free market and a small government, prices of nearly everything would be much lower.
    (Yes, the prices of some stock shares would also be lower because they wouldn't
    have laws that allow them to steal from us. They would have to compete instead.
    They can't. So they use government to suppress the competition and to steal from
    their customers.)
    That's why I keep saying D.C. NIFO.
    The government is never there to help us. It's always to shaft us to gain wealth and power for themselves
    and for their conspirators.
