Today I had to console a friend who just retired as a Bilingual School Teacher...she loves kids...she read in the paper about an idiot man who put his child on a treadmill injuring said child seriously. Sent her into a sadness. I told her ignorance can be cured but stupid is with us forever. nb

You get a point just by posting something and points on your post are accumulated upwards when others give you a thumb up if they find your post interesting, pertinent, clever, or even humorous regarding the topic or thread at hand. Points are lost if others find your post insulting or just nasty in some way and click the thumb down. Almost all of us here avoid the thumb down unless the post is really bad in some way. You have to sign in to click the up or down thumb. Personally, I've given a thumb up to posts I may disagree with if it is informative, well written, and on topic because I'm here to obtain and share information - and to have a bit of fun.
