I would expect the spineless GOP to react like seagulls at the beach when a dog runs by: Lots of squawking and flapping and then settle down like nothing happened. There is no equivalent on the GOP side to an Antifa or BLM so I figure the cities are safe from burning and looting.

I suspect the "justice" dept are hoping for a massive protest movement. That way they can round up all the Trump supporters and lock them away before the election. Let's be careful out there ...

For the moment I'll assume that the charges were factually correct (the charged action did take place).

HOWEVER:

The government doesn't have the right to grovel through privately-held business records to find this sort of thing without probable cause that some crime had been committed. The rules for publicly traded companies are somewhat different, due to required disclosures and reporting.

"Falsifying business records" is normally an add-on charge to something more serious (like embezzlement, defrauding vendors, or mis-stating income for tax purposes). That gives the government the hook to look through the business records.

In this case, "Falsifying business records" was the ONLY charge.

1. How many trials have been held in New York that included a charge of falsifying business records?

2. How many trials have been held in New York where 'falsifying business records' was the only charge?

If the answer to question 1 is 'many' and the answer the question 2 is '1', there is likely a basis for a charge of election interference against the New York DA who filed the charges.

I have served on three Grand Juries and numerous Municipal and Petit Juries. My mind cannot stretch over 12 people all voting 'for' 34 felony crimes unanimously. This isn't possible. This was a 'picked' and 'paid for' Jury.

A unanimous guilty vote? That goes with the round of holes in one by the North Korean guy and the 90% vote for Premier Putin. Imagine being on that jury and even suggesting innocence? The one thing that had better not happen is for them to actually get Trump into a New York jail. At that point, he will surly be Eppstein'ed either as suicide or a paid inmate serving an infinity of time. In fact, this may be the real end game for the democommies. Notice that the judge already pronounced "no bail."

Charges? They don't need no stinkin' charges! Yes, we have those bananas! Only the fed has the legal right to try a person for federal election fraud. Not only was that charge declined for prosecution by the feds, but New Yuck had no right to try anyone for that. Farce, kangaroo court, whatever you call it, AR had it right about ripping the lid off and showing the hell beneath the surface. Only problem is, how does one force another to see and understand? Answer--you can't. This nation has one last chance to slow down the coming horror and that is the coming election. If there IS an election. If there IS a living candidate. If there ARE vast numbers of honest votes to overcome the fix. I have doubts that any of those three things will be in place.
