I'm sorry, but if I wanted liberal policies I'd vote for the democrat candidate. I want fiscally conservative policies. The GOP just does not get it.

The GOP is so dead in the water anymore. The people are hungry for a party that is actually for smaller government, isn't statist, doesn't want war at the drop of a hat. There is no such party. The GOP should play that role but they just can't. Their owned, I suppose.

There is no such party? What about the Libertarians? I'm a registered Libertarian, we are small still and have a few problems, but I think we are the closest to an established party that still has its priorities straight.

I agree with you. Thanks for the reminder. I'm registered independent.

Oh and I meant "they're", not "their". I hate it when people do that...

It doesn't cut it for me either, but until people realize that government, in one way or the other, the cause of most of our supposedly intractable problems, I don't see much chance for change. However, what the 2 parties have erected is a fiscal house of cards, and when it finally collapses, things may finally get interesting politically.

They are two branches of the same bankster controlled party.
Banish all of them to Venezuela.
Let them "fix" that mess and prove their idiotic policies will work.
America needs to return to the terms of the original "experiment".

Because whether we like it or not, there are two viable parties in this nation, not three. Working within the republican party to drive them to the fiscally conservative party is necessary. That said, I will not fund them any longer. I will work for and support fiscally conservative candidates, not for the GOP as a whole. If the GOP doesn't return to a semblance of a conservative party, then we are left with democrat ideology running this nation for many, many years.

Working within the Republican Party in Florida to change things has not worked. The RPOF kicked out our duly elected conservative county Republican chair because he was making too many waves over the ethical violations (and later convicted felonies) that the RPOF led. The RPOF moves around money all over our state to fund the campaigns of incumbent RINOs over constitutional conservatives. It is a total sham.

I can't say that I'm surprised... the national rot has descended to the states I suppose. As I mentioned, I will not provide financial support to the GOP until they begin supporting fiscally conservative candidates. I've seen too many good people win their primary against (R) incumbents only to have the GOP step aside and withhold financial support. That's inexcusable.

I heard yesterday that in Kansas that there is an independent that is likely to win a statewide election. Florida's gubernatorial race is ripe for a third party candidate like Adrian Wyllie.

This is the biggest canard that is allowed to exist, and it must be taken on head-on, and squelched wherever it is used...

"To win, Republican candidates must offer “common-sense ideas” that demonstrate compassion"

As if Republicans lack compassion. No, conservative Republicans such as myself have plenty of compassion... but it is not *misplaced* compassion. Our compassion is for those honest, productive people, not for the dishonest indolent looters and moochers.

Republican ideas are *full* of compassion... *just* compassion, not *feel-good* compassion.
