This is the end result of a leftist-inspired, leftist-cheered, media-hyped railroad conviction campaign for “murder” of drug-overdosing Floyd, propped up with Photoshopped images of Floyd under Chauvin’s knee—a conviction that would have been thrown out or overturned by any credible justice system

The founding fathers attempted to lay the cornerstone of a justice system in the United States, but we ended up with a legal system and they are not the same.

Chauvin chose poorly. Every officer still on the job in Democrat cities is choosing poorly. I’m not saying he got what he deserved. I’m saying he got what was predictable. He’s in the belly of the beast now and there’s nothing any of us can do about it except exercise pattern recognition. And avoid that scenario.

At most, Chauvin was guilty of involuntary manslaughter/first-responder malpractice.

A large part of the blame should go to the initially arresting cops who saw Floyd gulp down a handful of drugs to avoid arrest for drug possession while those cops were approaching Floyd’s vehicle. Those cops should have insistently informed Chauvin of the extreme likelihood that Floyd was overdosing on drugs, and that Floyd’s erratic behavior, refusal to be in the backseat of a squad car, demands to be laid out on the ground, inability to breathe were all likely the result of massive drug ingestion, including fentanyl (as coroner’s report later confirmed).

Had Chauvin known of Floyd’s exact circumstances, it’s far more likely as an experienced officer that he would have immediately called an ambulance or begun anti-overdose procedures.

As the wife of a former dedicated Peace Officer for many years, following 20 years in the Army with him, I do not naturally approve of 'Excessive Force' at any time. I also don't support the idea of a death penalty in any cause. But, and this is a biggie! Taking George Floyd out of this world was a gift to us all! Shooting a pregnant lady in the abdomen! Praise for George Floyd. Popping drugs even though the world was handed over to you. Praise for George Floyd. A rap sheet for criminal behaviour as long as your arm? Praise for George Floyd. Now what were we talking about? Oh, yeah! There shouldn't be praise for all this. nb
