Controlled Instablity, by Robert Gore

At the recently concluded confab at Davos, the world’s would-be rulers conferred on how they would rule the world. How quaint. They’re going to rule a world that’s spinning out of their, or anybody else’s, control. A Russian politician, Konstantin Dolgov, coined a phrase for the oxymoronic pipe dream that prevails in Washington, Davos, Brussels, and Tel Aviv: “The Americans need controlled instability to realize their own plans.” Dolgov noted: “But this instability has long been out of Washington’s control.”

Controlled instability is a futile hope from a bygone age. The instability that manifests daily is anything but controlled. Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his fellow governors’ defiance marks an emerging phase: instability and conflict among actors within the political system. It may be posturing, but it still amounts to a middle finger from the governors to the federal government and its once revered Supreme Court.

Thanks again, SLL, for gracing the Gulch with words of thought and wisdom. The Middle East is certainly a mixed bag. I find myself waffling on the subject all the time. I'd like to see more Abraham Accords type deals with the US packing up and going home to leave the region to deal with itself. Then hateful fools like Hamas pull off an "October 7" instead of getting on board the peace train and I say bomb 'em back into the stone age. One new twist in current events is the support Hamas is getting from various factions in the Western world, especially in academia, which in the long run I suspect has less to do with Palestinians and more to do with bringing down what's left of the Free West - for whatever reason.

Ever hear of The Cloward-Piven Strategy?
These academic jackasses paved this road 50 years ago. Word for word.
Even Wet Willie Clinton gave them a medal of honer in the Rose Garden.
Glenn Beck (for all his warts) got this right 20 years ago.

Your articles leave one yearning for more. This site has so much food for thought that no one can ever starve. The middle east has been a mess as long as there has been a middle east, and throwing blood and treasure at it makes no more sense than building a boat out of untreated toilet paper.

Got to say this article was some very interesting propaganda mixed with anti-Semitic rhetoric. It's a contradiction to be arguing that the very people who despise religion (the Davos crowd) are simultaneously undermining Israel at every turn at the UN and yet somehow conspiring with them to start a global war. What a load of tripe.

Thank you, once again, Robert, for an excellent article. Your writing offers an effective means for my mind to welcome a new day.
I do disagree regarding the use of nuclear weapons -- I do not believe that their use would end humanity; rather, the next nuclear war (the one in 1945 was successful both in science and diplomacy) will also be limited and strategically controlled. I say this because TPTB are so well entrenched, so fully knowledgeable and completely in control, that they would not allow a full-scale nuclear calamity. Much like the controlled demolition of the WTC 20+ years ago, I expect a single nuke burst inside a military facility, power plant, oil refinery or similar, will take place sometime by 2030. Another thought would be the initial reports of a nuclear blast going off on one of those targets -- global stock markets take a shock -- another wealth transfer presents itself for the top 0.1%. 48 hours later, the story unfolds with greater detail, no nuke, you can go back to watching sportsball and enjoying your buffalo wings.
Something about the phrase "all wars are bankers wars" comes to mind.
I am researching land / property in nowhere Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Wisconsin for a build in and bug out location... to be among my own people.
