Ideology and power are the only things the dems consider. Results for the country arent even thought about.

The DemonRats need to remember the old adage "Careful what you ask for, you might get it".
If there was a true armed insurrection by 33% of the population, (~ 100,000,000 people) no amount of local, state or military police will have a snowball's chance in hell of stopping it.
Remember, during to first revolution, 33% of the population was for the crown, 33% was against it, and the remaining 33% simply either didn't care, or had a farm to run.
Out of the 33% of patriots, only 3% did the actual fighting, or 1% of the entire population.
Today the would be about 3.5 million people, or 3 times as many local, state and federal police combined.
Also remember the British were far better armed, trained, fed and housed. They had every possible advantage, yet they still got their asses kicked.
People here say our situation looks like 1930's Germany.
I say it looks like 1770's Boston.

I've often wondered (and mentioned here a few times) whether the Libs are using A.S. as a playbook, but in all of their arrogance, they think they can make it work where it didn't for James Taggart and the rest. I mean, they truly think they know what's best for everyone, so their arrogance is on full display every damn day.

Hate to say it, but I consider this scenario a very real possibility.

In that event, it'll be interesting to see if efforts to wokify the military/national guard play to the benefit of Dems, and whether or not Dems will arm an illegal alien army in an attempt to stay in power. I'm sure that 25 million illegal aliens won't show any mercy to "insurrectionists" as they have no allegiance to the Constitution--but only to the Dem dictator who happens to be fighting to stay in power.

Some of us believe that President Trump has his own security force. Some others of us believe that they themselves are part of his security force. A few of us see it slightly differently, and still Trust The Plan.

That would be an interesting take, but the Courts will intervene and the matter wouldn't be resolved until after the next Presidential election, which is far more important IMHO. The big legal question revolves around the fact that 1) these aren't legal citizens and 2) the Federal government's policies are the entire reason for them being present in the first place.

And you can bet that it would cause a Civil War if Biden were to attempt to enforce anything on Texas. And you can bet that the US Military wouldn't carry out Biden's orders.

Your Texas take on near-future events is entirely plausible.

I hope you are right about generals who would remain faithful to the Constitution. You are an optimist to hold out for this possibility.

Once its impossible to have ones vote count, its the end of democracy (which wasn't that great anyway in the USA). Ending of the rule of reason, leaves only violence

Unfortunately, I think the incessant, pounding message to the obedient press that Trump will impose a Nazi style tyrannical government if elected is a purposeful attempt to goad psychopathic individuals to attempt to assassinate Trump. Worse yet, they may stage the attempt and have a compliant Secret Service member "accidentally" shoot Trump. I hope he has his own security team at hand.

The military hasn't been entirely purged, so I suspect any demand for wide spread martial law will result in an internal war within the military.
