Specifically, those asylum-seekers arriving from Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua may have legitimate claims to asylum in the US if they have pro-Trump, anti-communist regime sentiments, especially if they have needed professional skills or ability to provide employment to US citizens. They may be targeted for political persecution, property confiscation, even execution in their homelands by Castroite, Maduro regimes.

Yes, everyone seeking US asylum should apply from either their homeland or from a third nation, but if only anti-communist, pro-Trump people are subject to preclusive discrimination, labeled right-wing extremists—and all others are admitted, paroled regardless of mental, physical health or degree of destitution, education, professional abilities—then immigration qualifications have been reversed, “stood on their head.” Those morally, justifiably, reasonably entitled to asylum would, under those perverse circumstances, be denied what they among all others are more likely entitled to.

    Baby with the bathwater?

Anti-communist, pro-Trump political refugees, escapees from socialist dictatorships, should be given special consideration and not immediately rejected on the basis of their political, religious values. Returning such escapees to their homelands would very likely seal property confiscation from relatives, incarceration, and/or execution.
