...again, this wasn't done to benefit mankind, to ward off the dark side of nature, instead, they joined and enhanced the dark side of nature.

Perhaps, a more fitting definition of pure evil.

Can you imagine these creatures working to increase the force of the next solar micronova from a surmised X1000 to an X1million . . . just because they could, just out of curiosity or because they wanted to be certain that the past, all of mankind's achievements be completely wiped out.
Little do they realize . . . that enhanced destruction wipes them out too . . .
