First saw this Dec. 1 today and couldn't resist posting the U-Haul chuckle.
Me dino only watched three or four very short parts of that debate. Could not find anything I wanted to watch for channel surfing and finally turned the TV off.
DeSantis has ceased to interest me and Newsome constantly doing the verbal tin horn politician's side-step got boring very quick.

    Even in neighboring Nevada the U-Haul lots are crammed full of trucks. For years now in California they usually seemed to hover around 10% full. I used Pod (a couple of them, actually) when I left. But, we used U-Haul a lot when I was a kid. Poppa was a rolling stone...

    Actually, this is another call by the BB that makes sense. The logistical problem U-Haul needs to find a more economic solution to is how to balance the abundance of U-Haul equipment in Florida with the scarcity of U-Haul equipment in California (or NY for that matter). True story: I had to move a bunch of stuff one way from Florida to Western NY and I got the trailer practically for free. However, the opposite direction was rather expensive.

      Of course, the state losing people would have a U-Haul shortage while the state receiving the migration would have them in abundance likely with a growing if not an overwhelming storage space problem. .
