- 1Posted by $ blarman 1 year, 7 months agoBecause the background check system is fatally flawed - especially when the VA is involved. It is a known issue yet nothing is being done. There is a lack of qualified mental health personnel (I know one personally) at the VA and their systems don't communicate well with the NICS background system.
