This is insanity. EVs are best used for short distance driving. They are terrible for long distance due to the limited range and long recharge times.

Then think about Trucks. Very heavy - bad for range. Long distances - Recharge times are going to cut that WAY down. It takes 45 minutes to recharge a Tesla to 80%. Can you imagine what it will take to charge an 18-wheeler to go even the next 100 miles? The battery weight will also have to be subtracted from the freight capacity.

Now a hybrid diesel-electric, I might believe (similar to a rail locomotive) but still you have the weight issue.

A business case opens up-

A truck, nominally powered by a battery, actually diesel, travels out to stranded vehicles with flat batteries. It has sufficient diesel power to charge them up as fast as the battery type allows. Handles both 12v and 24v (and etc?)
It could even carry a range of small motors to sell/rent and leave behind on a trailer to put in a charge, the stranded vehicle is then almost a hybrid.

Starting in May, people with good credit will now have to pay higher fees through government sponsored mortgage lenders. The fees will go to help those with bad credit scores to buy a house.
