If O is a proponent of the "No" vote over there, it's just another reason for a Yes vote...

Unlike the founders of America, Oprahma prefers "crawling like worms beneath British boots."

And sadly, the "No" side is relying on fear mongering and uncertainty, rather than posting solid reasons why staying a Union is a good thing for Scotland...

Then again, Whitehall has a *lot* to lose, including a nuclear sub base and the North Sea oil fields...

While I don't have a dog in this race (other than some investments that could go to either country) I would not mind seeing what a nation of potential producers could do once separated from Socialist Britain. Hopefully 307 years as part of the UK won't skew them to remain Socialist... Guess we'll see...

I will remind you that Scotland is to the UK what Texas, Iowa, Rhode Island are to the US...

Or more accurately, Texas, Iowa, Rhode Island are to the US what Scotland is to the UK. Sovereign republics (is Scotland a republic?)

    No...

What we're witnessing is history repeating... circa 500 AD... the western Roman Empire breaking up under the pressure of the barbarians....

Aren't member republics of the United States already debating secession, and increasingly being taken seriously?

Civilization is on the ropes. A new Dark Age is on the horizon.
