How To Know It's Valentine's Day
Over ten years ago on another internet site, I was a friend of a lady who was dating a dude.
On a February Fourteenth he came knocking without so much as a Valentine's Day card.
All he had was a smile on his face.
Until she told him to get lost.
And he did.
The End

That way, if she doesn't like it, it can't be your fault.
Unless you're a lady. So far I've been thinking you're a guy.
I just wanted to go out to eat alone.
V-day is not a good time to do that. ;^)
I don't go near a stadium on game day either.
Not a big issue now.
It was less convenient before I had learned to cook well.
I cook by keeping it simple. Never have baked a cake or a pie. Why should I? I can always buy one but I avoid doing that because I'm a Type 2 diabetic.
It's been years but me dino soon to turn 76 have baked 4 or 5 turkeys with the same kind of stuffing my dear departed mother used.
If I want to impress, I take a date to dinner at my place.
Then gender doesn't matter :-)
My wife forgot our first Anniversary, and I didn't.
24yrs of Free Passes on that one folks.
She was busy taking care of the baby, lost track of the dates... She's the one who always remembers birthdays. I still have to look at my DL to find mine... LOL
Food is always a good idea for Valentine’s Day. We don't get out much these days, so I do some nice cooking on my own. No cards, no flowers (the cats eat them, cards too :) but we exchange our favorite treats--peanut butter cups and strawberry cream chocolate hearts. It works for us.
