Mid-Terms Post Mortem

End of the Trump era?
Some experts claimed that Trump’s choice of candidates was a major reason for the GOP’s subpar performance. They cite the loss of Dr. Oz to severely cognitively impaired John Fetterman to demonstrate their point. They feel Trump incorrectly endorsed celebrity Doctor Oz; perhaps a principled conservative and a Pennsylvania local would have served better. They claim that the underperforming of the GOP is proof that Trump's era has passed. They claim he should gracefully step aside and allow Ron DeSantis to be the nominee in 2024. They claim Trump lacks discipline, has too much baggage, and polarizes people with his rhetoric.

I never liked that OZ. spent too much time with Oprah. Trump has really gone a bridge too far and I am swaying towards DeSantis now. Trump was poorly treated and if supported by the GOP, he would have been even more successful. He was and is an arrogant ass but all of them are, it was just on display with Trump. It is a real shame. He could have been the best president so far in the 21st century. But the GOP and his own arrogance has really hampered that.

Trump obviously has amazing business abilities that has been shown to transfer to negotiating with other world leaders to get stuff done. But, I am afraid all of the other crap would just get in the way. I am afraid he could not get elected We would have to shoot too many lefties to get it done. I would love to keep Ron D in charge here in Fla. But he would make a great Pres

I laugh when they make the claim a candidate is mentally challenged. In my opinion, there is some sort of mental challenge in any and all who runs for these offices. Power hungry and all in for "ME" is what their thought processes evolve around. Just think about it, You leave a million dollar plus job so you can go to DC and earn $175K/year. But wait, the perks are absolutely out of this world.

I didn't like the overconfidence I saw or heard (I get my on-the-air news mainly from radio); the remarks that the Democrats were going to be swept out, etc. I don't like overconfidence, especially on my own side, because it's not smart. Rather than proclaiming victory in advance, it's better first to go in and get it.

If you think you have nothing, you have nothing to lose by supporting flawed ideology. Maybe more time should be spent explaining to Americans who think they "have nothing" what they are going to lose.

It has been coming in the past election cycles. ANY attempt by repubs to work .ANY kind of compromise is seen as a sign weakness to be exploited. Lefty democraps have ABSOLUTELY NO sense of compromise

"~~too many clueless people" is a theory I heard Sean Hannity come up with on my car radio.
Hannity opined that lots and lots of Democrats did not know squat about Fetterman save for that loony ogre having a D beside his name. Thinking of my lib brother up in Delaware, yeah, that strikes me as a realistic view.
Dr. Oz did not strike me dino as all that appealing anyway save for depriving the doofus Dems a Senate seat.
And Oz sure ain't a DeSantis who I'm sure overwhelmingly beat the cheat for the election fraud I'm certain transpired up to some point even in Florida.
As for that deranged Fetterman wanting flush hordes of dangerous felons out of prisons to the point of even putting convicted murderers back on the streets, remember he only has one vote along with his Senate seat.
Me dino may be wrong but I don't think he will get much support with that even from other dingbat Dems.
Did you know that a fleeing felon attempting a prison escape here in Alabama is considered so dangerous to the public that a tower officer can legally shoot him in the back? The only requirement is to first fire a warning shot.
Only one time during my 21-year career did I have to do that. Fortunately, that one shot was all I had to fire when I next lined up my sights on his back. That inmate had sense enough to freeze.

    Think about it:
    -Didn't leave his basement.
-50 year history of grift, incompetence and malfeasance.
-Couldn't speak in whole sentences, 10 years ago.
-Couldn't gather 100 people in a Walmart parking lot for a "rally".
-Had "A thing" for little girls, including his daughter.
...Yet this clown somehow got 25 million more votes than The Kenyan...
Third-world shiteholes hold more honest elections this former great Federal Republic.
I wonder if Ben Franklin laid odds on how long it would take for the great American experiment to fail? 200 years is the average. We beat the odds, barely.
    Love him or hate him,
-Trump was the first president in a hundred years to keep us out of war.
-Made American greatness his number one defining goal.
-Didn't take a salary and sure as hell didn't need the job or the headaches.
In two short years Buy-Done has all but cratered this country.... and there is two more years to go!
There won't be a country as you know it in 2024.
If DeSantis thinks he won't get the MaCain/Romney/Trump treatment once he gets the nod, he's as delusional as the dope pResident illegitimately in office now.
Another dim-witted Demon-Rat controlled like a puppet on-a-string we be selected in 2024. No matter who runs or how you vote.
If you didn't learn your lesson in 2020, you're beyond educating. The game is rigged and we aren't players.

The REAL issue in BOTH Kari Lake and Oz races.

Neither Trump nor McConnel gave them any real $$$.

    They were OUTSPENT like 5:1...

How are they supposed to compete.

Then the MEDIA covered for Fetterman.
This is no difference than the Media/Tech hiding the Hunter Biden Laptop Story.

But it's true in EVERY MARKET.

My plan is quiet quitting. And I own my own business! But honestly, I have a huge project to finish, then I will turn it all mostly off.

And I will stop earning any real money, and just live off of the reserves. When they run out...
A cheap Fentanyl overdose. The best thing I can stop doing... Is funding the idiocy.

I may even resort to voting for dems just to speed up the process!

I think we should shut down ALL coal and gas electricity plants in the US before Thanksgiving.

And wait for Green Windmills/Solar to fill the gap!
What can I do to turn off those power plants?

    That's where I am at.

I’m right there with you. If the country has to be fucked up.....let’s not do it in their time frame.
      Go Galt!

PS....I’m actually rooting for $10gal gas. I’ve got 200 gals all stabil-Ed up for the winter. And a whole room full of food staples that we actually eat already. Bring it on!

I hear you -- and I am doing what I can to shrug -- spending as little as possible into this fraud of an economy. That Fetterman won is ... telling -- I see it more as affinity -- lots of folks find affinity with the mentally unfit, and just the plain unfit... I am also hoping for The Long Cold Hard Winter. Living in S. Arizona and being used to MN and WI winters, I will be fine. The looneys need to feel the impact of their lunacy, up close and personal, before they can begin to realize that actions have consequences. I think that if we had a real supply / delivery crunch for the large US cities -- and then flash mobs in the Walmarts, Safeways, and sundry grocery stores... that would be interesting to watch (I have my calorie, hydration and sundry backups and backups of backups). Of course, I think that all of the debilitation in the economy and social fabric is brought on by design. Keep your powder dry and the cheap fentanyl in an off-site storage shed ... I think you can be more beneficial in making it through this controlled demolition and walking tall on the other side.

I don't think I could stand another round of hate filled garbage against Trump. He should set up an office like Obama did two blocks from the WH and advise DeSantis or Cotton or somebody with his intelligent ideas. And he can stick his tongue out at the Demonrats.

also, we live in interesting Times...
In 2020, Biden barely went out to campaign, had to go to bed early, and somehow WITHOUT winning the key Bellweather places, wins the critical places whith 97% vote drops...

Then, in this mid-term. With a BELOW 50 (really below 40) approval rating, and 75% of the population thinking the country is headed in the right direction...

This Biden DESTROYS the Odds, and ALL of history, by out-performing anyone in that situation going into mid-terms. And his lesson is... He can double down now...

Dan Bongino said it well: "We did NOT get enough support... Because people are NOT SUFFERING enough"...

So, I TRULY HOPE that the liberals go full bore on their plans... And that by 2024, All America feels the pain. At the pump. Having to make hard decisions (which child do I feed is a HARD decision)... And if enough people (Bongino Mentions how Giuliani lost the FIRST time he ran. It took a few more years for people to have enough!) That's the only thing that will fix it.

It took the Russians 70 years to throw off the Bolsheviks and they still have a virtual dictatorship. I suspect when the commies get their final grip on the USA it will last a very long time. I also believe there was enough support, but the commie cheat/propaganda machine is well oiled and running the way they like. Like a fulcrum, key areas will determine an election and the commies have gained control of the lever. I believe it was Archimedes who said, "Give me a place to stand and I'll move the world." It's looking like the commies have found a place to stand.

          Nice article!

Here's a little tidbit I caught from it: "The journey of a ballot once cast by a legitimate and legal voter is supposed to be the collection in a poll box, delivery to the clerk who then verifies the voter is a registered, legal voter in the state’s Qualified Voter File, known as the “QVF”, the signature of the voter is checked against the one on file, and the ballot is checked for any defects." Where I vote I used to have to sign a form using a normal pen so signature verification shouldn't be that hard. Now I have to try to sign my name on a 5 inch (maybe 6) digital tablet type device mounted on a vertical stand easy to knock over if you press a bit too hard, with a stylus with a fat bulb on the end, with no place to rest your hand, making it damned near impossible to write a decent signature. I even noted "this looks like crap" to the monitor person sitting there. I figure there's no way that signature will match anything prior on file so they can now toss my ballot any time they want.

De Santis hasnt been popular enough to gain the wrath of the left. That will come surely, and he will be hated as much as trump. Both of them are outspoken and refuse to be controlled and to hide the lefts failures.

The problem this time was abortion, and the "poor and downtrodden" women who refused to think about getting pregnant before the fact happened, and who needed free abortion. I read that there were nearly 1 million abortions per year, and most of them were black women.

I am not a woman, but I would really think twice about potentially needing an abortion given that there are a number of ways to prevent pregnancy other than abstinence.

Over 70 M abortions since 1973, mostly minorities. PP was founded and funded by Eugenists. They have not gone anywhere, they are simply less publicly vocal about it, but no less strident in their hatred of all things not like themselves. Depopulation is the game. Blacks are the most irresponsible when it comes to the need to abort pregnancies by killing the baby they just created.at least the rest of us don’t wind up paying for the upbringing of the child when the y are on welfare

Yet none of those methods is foolproof. I once had a friend whose daughter and her boyfriend each used birth control every time, but her daughter still got pregnant. I believe in choice, but oppose government funding for it.

I don't believe it was Trump that had anything to do with Fetterman in PA. PA was rife with voter fraud in 2020 and they did nothing to correct that for 2022.

Of course, it is the same people who think Biden is doing a good job despite his cognitive impairment who would vote for Fetterman. Reminds me of this:

In Missouri, Trump did not endorse Billy Long for R Senate candidate and made a fuzzy statement that could have been interpreted as an endorsement for either Hartzler or Schmitt. Eric Schmitt won the primary and went on to win the Senate replacing Blunt's seat. The fact that R's won does not change the principle. Long was one of the first politicians to endorse Trump and was consistently conservative. So much for Trump's loyalty.
