NEWSMAX censors Lara Logan, "won't interview again." A simple editorial distancing would have been sufficient.

People should have the right to express extreme views and even make outlandish metaphorical exaggerations without being "excommunicated." Let people judge for themselves whatever value there may be in what spokespeople state regarding their own ideals, their own opinions.
A simple concluding statement such as, "Guests on NEWSMAX don't necessarily represent or voice NEWMAX editorial policy or values." It's not necessary to explicitly denounce someone personally who is in essential alignment with ones own principles and goals. If she's too extreme, just don't invite her back without going out of your way to make a personal grudge match out of loose talk. If she's misrepresenting someone else's opinion, that's lying. But if she's just stating her own opinion--even using outlandish terminology to make her point, leave it to the viewing audience to form their own opinion.

I still consider Trump to be the most significant popular politician of our time--and perhaps the chief constitutional threat to a leftist dictatorship. I watch his rallies when possible to know how he's faring and what he's emphasizing as well as what topics he's avoiding.
