The Batteries in Electric Vehicles Are Not The Solution to Replace Fossil Fuels

Per the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the three major categories of energy for electricity generation are 61% fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, and petroleum), 19% nuclear energy, and 20% renewable energy sources (wind, hydro, solar, biomass and geothermal.)

    How are they going to sell all these China made EV's without Diesel fuel for the ships that bring them over here? And the trucks that offload them?

    Nice article. Thanks. Too bad the people that need to understand it the most won't bother to even think about it because it doesn't fit their political narrative. I notice in the comments a rather verbose and factually devoid and self contradicting parishioner of the climate change religion (Kyro) threw in an amusing 2 cents.

    Thanks! That was a very informative article for me, I learned a lot of new things, since I am not an engineer. Makes EVs, solar, and windmills look even more ridiculous.

    add in how much power do you get back out from what it takes to charge a set

    my deep cycle marine batteries give back around 50% of the power needed to charge them
