This was well written, however I do wish she would have mentioned that the democrats are even further away from any chance at prosperity we may have.

Upheaval is the plan of the Left. Always has been, and always will be.

Well, I do not entirely agree. The left is attempting to maintain a state of constant, for lack of a better term, walking on the edge of upheaval and using the fear of upheaval to keep everyone accepting there crap.

If we move into full on upheaval we loose what we currently have with no sure way to get back what we had before 1890 and anti-trust. Perhaps even better than that. The problem is we are far more likely to get a US version of Napoleon, than another Washington to shape the direction of what rises from full upheaval. We are either at, or very close to the point where its the only option left to those that love freedom.

No they do not. Until The Establishment GOP goes back to the founding principles of this nation, embracing the ideas of William F. Buckley and political backbone of Pres. Reagan and fully reject any inclination of ANY liberal crap, the repub party is going down with the rest of the nation.

That was well written, but I agree that all the posturing going on has to stop. It's like parasites living in a host body. They consume from the inside out, until all that is left is a husk.

I'm impressed that this was written by a black woman as well. I wonder how many others of her race have called her an "Uncle Tom", though.

The party of Lincoln went down the drain to the sewer years ago.

Not long after Lincoln left this world. Once they started "To Big to Fail" railroads and assisted the east to west expansion with land grants and cash grants the party of Lincoln was gone.

The physical remains of the party of Lincoln were placed in the cement foundation of a skyscraper when we passed the anti-trust law (Sherman anti-trust laws) in 1890. We then forever altered the direction of America with the 1911 breakup of Rockefeller Standard Oil under those laws.

We have tried to resurrect that party with the libertarian party and failed. We have tried to shift the republicans back to that part with the tea party from within, I think that has failed as well. So the question is how do we get that party back?

        Hello XenokRoy,

Adopt the tricks of the Marxist’s who call themselves democrats and re-label Constitutionalists and Libertarians as republicans and elect them. Frankly, I can’t understand how so many rhinos have been elected, except to posit the notion that the Marxist light variety of politician (not up to progressive standards) have run under the republican banner.

There are too few politicians elected with integrity, dedicated to the principals of our founding. Without change the foreseeable outcome (trusting history to repeat) is an unlikely return or more likely erosion/rejection with enmity on both sides, a nation more divided. Does that sound like a recipe for prosperity and amity?

We must make liars out of principled citizens (a more difficult task) since that is the type of person we need representing us. It is much easier to buy someone without principles. This is evidently where we get the best “politicians” from! How do you take a principled statesman and ask them to bend their principles, and re-label themselves in order to get elected by the unprincipled? How many principled citizens wish to swim with the leeches?

        Good thread.

        Regards,
        O.A.
