Well Sneezy darling, if the IRS tries to seize their bank account and the only money deposited into that account comes from SSI, hire a lawyer and sue the IRS butts off. The OAA (Old Age Assistance) law that set up SSI says SS cannot be seized by even the IRS. And I suspect they can;t seize DIC (Dependent Indemnity Coverage) to Military dependents because loved one died of Service Connected injuries. Some of that money may be Agent Orange connected covered by the Nehmer lawsuit. Mine is. But I have 2 bank accounts. One for SSI and one for DIC. Just in case.
