Pay attention now! I believe in self hypnosis. When I was pregnant with my youngest child, I fractured a tooth. I told the dentist to get out of my sight for five minutes, come back in, don't talk to me, and extract the tooth. He stood outside and I heard him tell the Colonel (Dentist) what I said. The Colonel told him to follow my instructions. He did and extracted the tooth with no anesthesia (the anesthesia wouldn't hold because of my pregnancy). I didn't feel a thing. I delivered my child with no anesthesia of any kind. Years later, I was working in a hospital and a young doctor approached me and asked if I could coach a young woman in self hypnosis. She was pregnant with twins, had a heart murmur and they feared the anesthetic. I coached her through her labor and delivery. She enjoyed the entire show! I was a celebrity!

Just FYI, but Dr. Cole has been mercilessly attacked in the local press as well. Many people in the media were openly hostile to his being appointed to the advisory Task Force to the County even though he's more credentialed on infectious diseases than anyone else in the entire State.
