Yeah, and they can stay the f#@* out of Colorado too..........liberal bastards. They crapped in their own nest so now they want to get away from their own stink and ruin it for everyone else.
Their proposals are so outrageous, it's outside of reality. "Bullet Buttons"? Really?! I think they meant magazine release button. This illustrates the infantile mentality of people who believe they know better and are smarter than you!
One can almost imagine them saying 'We also don't like those fold-down thingies, you know, those folding thingies at the end of the gun?' (Mature adult answers back): 'You mean the folding stock?" (State Morons response): 'Yeah! Whatever it's called, yeah those thingies....'
The statement at the bottom of the article further pounds home their idiocy: they think their legislation will really work against felons obtaining firearms. Well, if felons would try to get them LEGALLY, then ok. But there's an obvious clue as to why this will never work: they're FELONS. Duh, they don't live by the rules most of us follow. Last time I checked, Heroin, Cocaine and Meth are all illegal, yet the felons can get their hands on them, anywhere, anytime, despite all the laws that outlaw the drugs. Go figure.
It boggles the mind how utterly stupid to the core the legislators in California are. They are talking out of their asses, basically, with no facts to back up anything they emotionally react to. Insane! And what's worse, is that their constituents believe it, vote for it, blindly follow and spout the pablum being spoon fed to them! I hate blind, arrogant ignorance.
I'm convinced that CA legislature is so incompetent, they're enabling criminal behavior by those who normally wouldn't commit crimes. The stupid laws they are proposing are so anti-common sense it's mind boggling. Apparently, it must be to the politicians that they are to be 'at war' with those who elect them into office! Human Toxic Waste: that's exactly what they are.
My better half and I are fighting now: I'm a precinct committeman, I go around and walk my precinct informing everyone (dems, repubs, independent, atheist, etc) of what's really going on at the local and state level. My better half and I are battling the local school board who are all for "sustainability", i.e., Communism, and other forms of indoctrination on our children every week and during the school board meetings. (THEY REALLY DON'T LIKE US) :) We also educate people we casually meet on what Islam really is about. Telling the truth is not slander, nor is it a crime.
You sure educated me about islam, i knew it was bad, but now I know it is pure evil. I think what you are doing by educating people is the right thing, the only problem is people don't know reality any more. I spent vacation reading "the Objectivist Newsletter," even in 1962 reality seemed to be lost. Ayn Rand got tired of swatting flies....
Be sure to check out bare-naked islam I posted today. Yes, swatting flies is one thing, it's a different story when you're swatting horse flies; they want your blood!
Therein lies the frustration. You're absolutely correct that the people who do speak out get vilified. But I think that if more continue to speak out, well maybe there will be a ripple effect. Then again, I am overly optimistic sometimes.
Yes...just as the surgeon said....if they want to get you..or you...they can get you on a tax violation. And now with the NDAA..... sigh. quack quack quack (we're all sitting ducks.)
I'm afraid that to take back our nation, it will require 3 generations or more of study "progressive" ideological fighting to get rid of communism. Fighting them from 'the outside' won't work: they have the braindead cops and the courts on their side. IMO, it will take some courageous, and very clever individuals to undo their utopia from the inside.
This is how they worked against us, so it's time to give them the same medicine, using the same tactics. It took them nearly 100 years, so don't be surprised if it takes us that long to get it back.
I don't expect to live that long either. (being 40ish) I've always said to those around me, the real decision point will come when they (the politicians, via the police) will come pounding on your door(s) at the usual 2:00-3:30 a.m. demanding to come in. I know what I'll do and am fully committed to it. I agree with you on your last sentence. It's slightly different than what Emiliano Zappato (sp?) said: "It is better to die standing, than to live a hundred years on your knees."

Take a stand and fight the SOB's now.
