At some point people will decide to not comply...

I'm finally there. As a guy who was living in California I struggled with the blunt force of laws being passed that violated the state and federal constitutions. Bad, stupid laws are hell to be subjected to. Eventually I made the comment to a good friend, "I can't live under this kind of system." Soon after that, I left. But, now that I sit here in my own Gulch and occasionally catch what politicians are saying I am realizing that I can't comply with their wishes. I've reached that point. When you hear the VP's rant about inflation or the "passage of time", when you hear Biden say he's worried about Putin invading Russia - You see militant trans who are into bondage shows being appointed to very high ranking, high-paying positions...You see some school districts now pushing sex toy use and transgenderism on 8 year olds (and younger)....One has to just say, "Well. I've thought this over and these people can go pound sand. I'm not going to do what they want me to do." Anybody else ever get that feeling?... I don't have a problem with the trans thing, sexuality, etc. But, children are off limits as far as I'm concerned. And the VP apparently has zero understanding of basic economics and often sounds like a 12-year old trying to explain quantum mechanics when asked a question about anything of substance. I actually kind of feel for her. It must be tough to stand there and bumble around at the mic like that. And Biden - Blaming Putin for the inflation. He's offering no hope on this - just some twisted, contrived blame game. As I was putting gas in my pickup today I clenched my teeth. These people have no clue what they're doing and there is zero accountability. I hope they all find happiness in a place where they're not making things worse for others and enjoy the rest of their days. If all of this reminds us of one thing it's this...Government has become much too omnipresent and omnipotent. It should reel itself back and focus on fixing potholes, securing borders and enforcing contracts. But, it's not doing any of that now. The media should stop asking them about stuff like inflation, the war, etc. The press conferences should just be about how their bunions are feeling and what their favorite ice cream flavor is. Stop even acting like we expect them to provide anything of any value for any important issue. They don't. Thanks for reading my late Friday rant... I just feel like we've reached the crossroads on this and am curious what you think... This is like the old "the king has no clothes..."

    Bynner; The Way of Life According to Lao Tsu, 1944 Poem 38
    2-1/2 millenia past.

    A man of sure fitness, without making a point of his fitness,
    Stays fit;
    A man of unsure fitness, assuming an appearance of fitness,
    Becomes unfit.

    The man of sure fitness never makes an act of it
    Nor considers what it may profit him;
    The man of unsure fitness makes an act of it
    And considers what it may profit him.

    However a man with a kind heart proceed,
    He forgets what it may profit him;
    However a man with a just mind proceed,
    He remembers what it may profit him;

    However a man of conventional conduct proceed, if he be not complied with
    Out goes his fist to enforce compliance.

    Here is what happens:

    Losing the way of life, men rely first on their fitness;
    Losing fitness, they turn to kindness;
    Losing kindness, they turn to justness;
    Losing justness, they turn to convention.

    Conventions are fealty and honesty gone to waste,
    They are the entrance of disorder.

    False teachers of life use flowery words
    And start nonsense.

    The man of stamina stays with the root
    Below the tapering,
    Stays with the fruit
    Beyond the flowering:
    He has his no and he has his yes.

        From Bynner, again,
        The end of the life legend is that, saddened by men's tragic perversity,
        their indisposition to accept "the way of life," to use life with
        natural goodness, with serene and integral respect, Laotzu rode away
        alone on a water-buffalo into the desert beyond the boundary of
        civilization, the great wall of his period.

    Congratulations on your Post. It inspired me We know the designers of all these goings on have been planning this for years. We know about Hilary Clinton and they gave her the respect of a prospective president. They failed twice to impeach our President. Then they tampered with the election and gave us a senile President who never had to voice an original thought in his adult life. So where are we now? The only accomplishments he has are undoing good works of his predecessor. We are flooded with immigrants from other countries all looking for a handout .They gave us a virus that caused us to withdraw, hide in our homes and fear being around one another. They applaud anyone of the male sex pretending to be a female? They want to teach babies about sex and sex toys. Can you imagine that we would have believed this could happen ten years ago? We'd have said 'You are crazy'.

    Thanks for ranting! The Babylon Bee should have exclusive access to the White House press conferences. No MSM allowed. Ask Nancy about her Subzero ice cream fridge and her favorite flavor of the day. Ask old Corn Pop how long ago he changed his Depends. Ask QUE MALA (translate the Spanish) if she would consider speaking as an adult to other adults, instead of like a Kindergarten teacher to little children. These are meaningful questions.

    Good rant. I have my own take on a few things:

    "I don't have a problem with the trans thing, sexuality..." These sexually confused adults are mainly, for whatever the cause, living in their own fantasy land. I don't care what they do unless they start forcing youth to believe and practice their fantasy and thus ruin lives at the very beginning. Furthermore, it should be out of limits to petition government to force/enforce others to buy into the fantasy as well. When they do that they are invading my space and I should have the right to toss them out on their collective asses without repercussions. That includes male athletes fantasizing at being a female athletes - forcing so many innocent others to go along with and nurture the fantasy is pure evil. Why on earth should the rest of us be forced to buy that crap?

    "When you hear the VP's rant about inflation..." When you hear the VP speak at all or dodge responsibility any time, we are shown an example of the Peter Principle on steroids. To be sure, she is living her own fantasy at the nations expense and the people are being brainwashed to accept it.

    "And Biden - Blaming Putin for the inflation..." and other things. The blame game is common in the DC swamp, but this administration (regency?) has taken it to a whole new level. They've become totally disconnected with reality, like the entire left, and are living a self delusion in their own fantasy world. They imagine the real world is something different than it actually is and they are constantly trying to force solutions they conjure up in their delusions on reality and the results are failures. There should be no mystery as to why so many of these deluded people accept Joe Biden as "normal" - they are of the same asylum.

    "The media should stop asking them about..." It can't because too many of them are suffering the same disease and are carriers - they are of the same asylum.

    "Government has become much too omnipresent and omnipotent..." Yes and it profits from the all the fantasies and unrealistic crap it forces the people to accept. Government has become the tank and the Constitution is the person standing in front of it - not even a close match. IMHO, the latest nominee to SCOTUS doesn't even have to know what a Constitution is - just drive the tank.

    The King certainly has no clothes.

    The following are among the presumptions of compliance:

    1) What is being asked to comply with is in the best interest of each individual, not groups.
    2) What is being asked to comply with is part of a commonly agreed upon sense of morality. (This was their first objective to destroy.)
    3) The person requesting (not demanding) your compliance of worthy of respect.
